Sometimes, when the sun peeks his little head through the rain droplets on the trees, it is best to stop what you are doing, throw on some rain boots, and go take pictures in a puddle of the quilt you finished last night.
This is why I love Fridays :)
This quilt would go great with some super cute princess wands that are coming to the shop very soon!
and sometimes…you look down at the puddle you are randomly standing in and wonder, “what in the world am i doing??”
wearing rain boots immediately makes you attracted to giant puddles and very wet things.
Enjoy quilt number 3 of 2016~
Here it is, like I promised! My September Quilt!
So this quilt has kind of a sad story behind it. It was a custom request for a gal. She was giving it to a co-worker who was having a baby that would be born with a chromosome disorder. This would mean the baby would only live (at the max) 2 weeks. The quilt was made with super soft minky fabric on the back and frilly lace and satin as the binding. It was the softness girlyest quilt I’ve ever made!
Pray for the sweet family who received the quilt
*tear jerk-er alert*
The baby was born about 2 weeks ago and the little babe only lived for 20 minutes after birth.
I’m so glad, however, that they were able to get the quilt literally a day before the baby was born.
I pray that they seek the LORD in their times of trial.(Psalm 25)
The quilt was so soft and frilly, take a look (:
He wouldn’t get out of the way :D
Here it is, like I promised! My August Quilt!
I just barely finished my August T-shirt quilt by the time the month was over. I finished the binding 2 days ago, and I am clipping the last 3 or 4 threads off today! :) Enjoy Megan! :)
But surprise surprise! I also finished another quilt! And well……this quilt is three years in the making. Ya, I know. But I haven’t been working on it for three years, Ive been LAZY for three years. I finished the giant black quilt in just a handful of months, but when it came to binding I said “forget it.”
I have been using this quilt for three years and I have never finished the binding! I even WASHED it! (talk about lazy) lol
But last week I finally got out my orange thread out and finished this sucker up!
I know you wanna look….. :)
and now the giant quilt…
I used Kaffe Fassett fabrics :) love them!
And of course, what makes a Main Man? The willingness to go outside and hold your sister’s quilt of course! #BestBro #MizzenAndMain
Thanks Gunnar! :)
Hope Y’all like em’!
See ya later! Gotta go start September’s quilt :)
Here it is, like I promised! My June Quilt!
Just like the dog quilt, this puff quilt is for an itty bitty babe
It is a rag quilt/puff quilt
It is basically a LARGE floor pillow! :)
