A Few Things on this Wednesday

Just a few things…

1. WordPress (the site that supports littlebrighteyes.net) has updated and now supports emojis! I mean, how fantastic is that?! Who doesn’t  ❤ emojis? So brace yourself cause I might be using them a lot now. 😊

2. I changed my site’s look. Could you tell? I really like it a whole lot better than the previous layout and colors. This one is a lot less cluttered feeling and of course, what can go wrong with pink and turquoise? Answer: nothing :)

3. And third and finally, I’m graduating on Saturday!!!🎓🎓🎓🎓 Yeppers, Done with school… well… at least until I start college in the fall. I’m so excited! God has blessed me in so many different ways throughout my life, and I’m so excited to have made it this far. 😇

I was reading Ecclesiastes the other day and happened upon these verses. They kind of stuck out at me as I am about to start this next leg of the journey of life: (I love the third & fourth one)

Eccl 10:4 “If your boss is angry at you, don’t quit! A quiet spirit can overcome even great mistakes.”

Eccl 10:20 “Never make light of the king, even in your thoughts. And don’t make fun of the powerful, even in your own bedroom. For a little bird might deliver your message and tell them what you said.”

Eccl 11:9-10 “Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless.”

Eccl 12:1 “Don’t let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor him in your youth before you grow old and say, ‘Life is not pleasant anymore.’”

and that’s all folks,

enjoy your wonderful Wednesday & talk to you soon

Diy Succulent Gift

Diy Succulent Gift

5 dollar gift 041

 Easy peasy gift, I’m serious.

And YES, that does say 5 dollars :)

5 dollar gift 033

So to make this easy little gift, all you need are some paints, a small clay pot, and a succulent + dirt.

I got my succulent at Home Depot for $4.28 :) How exciting is that?! The pot was only $0.78 too

First thing is first, paint the pot. You can do all sorts of colors…anything you like, er uh, what your mother likes.

I painted mine black (but I guess you can see that can’t you? heehee)

I also wanted to give mine a little bit of a modern look with that adorable black & gold color. To do this, just tape off a section of area with masking tape,

and paint it another coordinating color. In my case, gold!

Add just a teeny bit more detail to the pot by adding something to the top. I dipped Q-tips into my gold paint and went CRAZY :) (which isn’t that hard for me to do)

Replant that cute little fella into his (or her) new pot and BAM!

An adorable lil’ gift for any momma.

And the best thing is these lil’ plants don’t need a lot of care. I recommend doing a bit of research to know how much water they need and such, but other than that, this is a great shelf or coffee table plant.

(and don’t forget to tell your mom how much you love her today. Actually, do it right now…I’ll wait)

I love you mom!
